The molecules that compose margarine (and butter) are crystallized and, therefore, by structure, more resistant to the action of microwave rays. Thus, having to heat them longer reduces their protein value.

Be careful because a meat debate has been going on for some time. Some believe meat should not be cooked in the microwave, and some argue it can be cooked safely. Well, both are right! But be careful: if the meat is cooked at too high a temperature, it will lose its nutrients and have a dry consistency. Try to inform yourself on this point; if you are unsure, you do not risk wasting a steak.
